The Development Team manages new real estate development projects from inception through completion, both internally and with Sponsors. As part of the development team, you will be exposed to all aspects of commercial real estate development and construction, including, project management, portfolio management, budgeting, design, contracts, bidding, scheduling, underwriting, value engineering, and project closeout. In addition, you will work with asset managers, property managers, accountants, design consultants, and contractors working on new development projects. Position Info Bridge Investment Group is hiring a Development Manager to join our team in Atlanta. Bridge's fast-growing entrepreneurial culture means you will be expected to take lead and contribute on assigned projects, working closely with company leadership and development team members. Responsibilities Of The Development Manager Include Manage various functions of the development process, including reviewing cost comparisons, budgets, project schedules, and other project management activities Work directly with development sponsors and managing directors in a client-facing role Developing and maintain systems and processes to manage large-scale developments across the country Participate in project meetings and give insight into design and construction practices Produce and monitor cost reports and provide input into construction costs Qualifications Candidates should be highly-motivated and savvy with demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to thriving in a fast-paced, client facing role and having strong communication skills, a successful candidate should have: Experience managing commercial real estate constructions projects with majority of projects in the multifamily asset class Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field Desire to excel within the construction and development industry Solid understanding of development, design, and construction practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent oral communication skills and interest in client service A self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves attitude with a strong sense of urgency Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills Passion for learning and growth with a mindset that no task is too small Strong attention to detail About The Benefits Undergraduate college degree. Preference for finance, economics, statistics, computer science or similar emphasis major, minor or coursework, but other majors considered. 2-3 years of work experience. Prior ESG and/or real estate-related work/internships and/or coursework is a plus. Demonstrated experience in using quantitative and qualitative methods in a professional or academic setting to develop actionable conclusions Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis applications Awareness of EnergyStar Portfolio Manager and GRESG reporting standards is a plus Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills Self-starter and team player, with ability to bring ideas and contribute to team discussions
