Seeking a Budget & Grant Analyst to build financial proposals, translating proposals into actionable budgets, and producing reports to measure progress against those budgets. Ensure allocation of expenses against the grant budgets in compliance with grant terms, ensuring the reports are maintained in the company's accounting system. What You Will Be Doing Prepare program budgets and financial reports with a complete, thorough understanding of the funding source requirements and our company's operational requirements. Assist with grant closeout procedures in accordance with regulations; reconcile and close grants on a timely basis. Prepare a variety of financial reports, externally as required by funders and internal and ad hoc reports as needed. Strong data management skills, analytical and automation skills, knowledge of grant management, financial accounting and cost principles. Exercise independent judgment, discretion for allocating expenses to grants, provide recommendations to improve grant reporting procedures and compliance. What You Need for this Position Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred. 3-5 years developing grant budgets and reports with both large and small institutional funders. Working knowledge of intermediate accounting and grant compliance procedures. Ability to analyze and monitor financial statements, budgets and other financial reports. Must have superior computer skills with proficiencies in Excel, database and computerized accounting systems (QuickBooks software a plus). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and/or regulations.
