Job Description* By applying to this position you will have the opportunity to share your preferred office working location from the following: Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, or Las Vegas, NV. Three weeks of on-site training will be required prior to the start of a hybrid schedule.The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be based in Atlanta, Houston, or Las Vegas and work as a member of the Finance and Accounting team. In this capacity, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will partner with the Accounting Manager as well as other finance team members across Shepard to provide accounting and finance support as necessary.Shepard Exposition Services is an innovative company with a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper who is a quick learner, adaptable, and excels at multi-tasking. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will have the ability to work on a team and to work independently. This position will have the opportunity to be a part of the company's exciting operations revamp and expansion which could lead to an expanded role in the near future. This is a "soup to nuts" type role incorporating AP, AR, GL, Month End closing.Essential Job Duties

• Prepare and post journal entries during month-end closing for multiple entities while adhering to deadlines
• Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
• Reconcile and eliminate intercompany accounts during the monthly consolidation
• Reconcile bank statements
• Responsible for Fixed Asset Tracking and Reconciliation for all entries
• Prepare documents for audits
• Work with the Accounting Manager to improve financial processes
• Assist with Cash Flow calculations and projections along with wire and ACH payments
• Provide accounts payable and receivable support as needed
• Assist Accounting Manager with financial statement preparation
• All other duties as assignedRequirements

  • Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment, if not currently employed by Shepard Exposition Services, Inc
  • At least 4-5 years of professional accounting experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, finance, or related field preferred; professional experience may be substituted for formal education
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills including vlookup, if statements, and pivot tables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills with a customer focus
  • Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
  • Able to work under time constraints and ensure deadlines are met
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and have strong follow-up skills
