FSA-Investment Group, LLCJob Title: Grants Financial AnalystReports to: Financial Advisory Leadership TeamLocations: San Diego, CA, Pensacola, FL or RemoteFSA Investment Group is a rapidly growing financial advisor focused on serving Indian Country. The Grants Financial Analyst role combines the financial oversight duties of an accounting professional, grants manager, and coordination of a project manager. The Grants Financial Analyst (FA) will perform consulting duties for our clients during the grant management lifecycle, including developing and implementing processes, providing compliance and oversight advice, and in the immediate term, assisting tribal leadership with defining and prioritizing strategic projects related to the American Rescue Plan Act, CARES Act, and other COVID-19 Relief Funding.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:The FA's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Serves as a technical subject matter expert in COVID-19 Relief Funding (American Rescue Plan Act, CARES Act, and other opportunities).
  • Ensures that clients are in compliance with established administrative and financial policies, procedures, and sound business practices.
  • Provides federal grant management advice, interpretation, and guidance on statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the award program.
  • Prepares budget vs. actual reports for grant specific projects.
  • Designs and builds financial reports and dashboards through data gathering and analysis.
  • Analyzes federal and local government laws and regulations regarding federal financing programs and incentives, and grants administration.Communication and Presentation
    • The FA will be a point of contact and will frequently communicate with client leadership, accounting staff, external professionals, federal grantor staff, and project team members during a project's lifecycle.
    • The FA will assist in presenting findings to the project team and assist with guiding clients through each step of the grant lifecycle effectively from inception to beyond project completion with reporting and compliance.
    • The FA must be able to clearly communicate goals and expectations to project team members and also share progress and ask questions of tribal government leadership, attorneys, and lenders.Scheduling and Organization
      • Must be able to execute on specific deadlines.
      • Responsible for scheduling and managing weekly client calls.
      • Responsible for preventing delays and ensuring deliverables are completed according to schedule.
      • Scheduling and managing timelines are vital components of the FA's duties. FA must be able to work with team members to implement a project schedule and ensure that milestones are met throughout the project lifecycle.Supervision Exercised: No direct supervision is exercised.Qualifications & Skills:
        • -Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (Accounting or Finance)
        • 2-5 years of project accounting or financial analysis experience
        • Budgeting and forecasting skills
        • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
        • Organized with attention to detail
        • Strong time management and team coordination skills
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some client-facing presentation and travel required
        • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting systems skills required
        • Knowledge of federal grants management and tribal governments a plus
        • Audit experience a plusSalary and Benefits:
          • $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year, based on experience
